Ingredients
- 4 skinless chiken breast halves
- 1 cup buttermilk our sour milk (1 T. lemon juice in add milk to equal 1 cup, let stand for 5 min.)
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3 T wataer
- 1 1/4 c. panko bread crumbs
- 3/4 t. ground sage
- 1/2 t. dried thyme, crushed
- 1/4 t. dried savory, crushed
- 1/8 t. ground black pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Place chicken in a resealable plastic bag set in a bowl. In small bowl , stir together buttermilk and half of the salt. pour over chicken. seal bage and marinate in refr. for 4 to 24 hours.
Grease a baking pan, in samll bowl mix egg and water. in shallow dish, mix panko and spices and remaining salt. drain chicken, discard marinade. Dip chicken into egg, the coat with crubm mixture.
bake uncovered at 375 for 30 min.
