Ingredients

  • 12 large mushrooms, stemmed
  • 6 oz. sausage
  • 1 T. olive oil
  • 1/3 cup fresh bread crumbs
  • 2 T. parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/3 cup mozzarella, shredded

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425. Roase mushrooms caps on baking sheet, stemmed side up, for 10 min. Flip caps over, roast 5 min. more, then remove from oven and set aside. Increase oven temp to 500.

Saute sausage in olive oil over med-high heat until cooked. Crush into pea-sized pieces., then drain on paper towel.

Combine sausage, crumbs and parmesan in bowl. Fill caps with mixture, top with mozzarella, then broil until cheese melts, about 2-3 min.
