Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Filling: 1 small jar seedless raspberry jam
  • Crumb Topping: 4 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 lb. margarine or butter, melted and cooled

Preparation

Step 1

Combine sugar, flour, baking powder and salt add egg, butter, milk and vanilla, Mix well and spread in to a 12"X8" greased pan. Warm jan and spread evenly on top of cookie mixture. Combine crumb topping ingredients and mix to form crumbs Sprinkle evenly over jam in pan. Bake at 350F for 25 -30 minutes. Cool, cut into bars and sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.
