Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (packed) dark brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 sticks (1 cup) salted butter, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Step 1
Step 1: Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.
Step 3: In a large bowl, blend sugars, then add butter and beat to form grainy paste.
Step 4: Add eggs and vanilla extract. Beat at medium speed until light and fluffy.
Step 5: Add flour mixture and chocolate chips, and blend at low speed until just combined.
Step 6: Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet, 1 1/2 inches apart.
Step 7: Bake for 18-22 minutes. Immediately transfer cookies to cool surface.
