Banana Cream Pie

You can use this for any cream pie. For banana cream, let the filling cool and pour over
pie crust that has 2 sliced bananas in it. If making coconut pie, fold in 3/4 cup moist
shredded coconut just before filling baked pie shell.

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 cups milk
- 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Step 1
Mix, sugar, cornstarch and salt in pan. Gradually stir in milk. Cook over medium
heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Boil 1 min. Remove from
heat. Gradually stir at least half of hot mixture into beaten egg yolks. Then blend
into hot mixture in pan. Boil 1 min. more, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and
blend in butter and vanilla.
