Pork Chop Gravy Basic
- 6-8 pork chops
- salt pepper
- 1 1/2 c flour
- vegetable oil
- 3-4 c water divided
pour veg. oil to coat bottom of pan--abt 1/8 inch deep
heat med. high heat till hot
add flour to deep dish and set aside.
season chops with salt pepper,dredge in flour,shake off excess flour.
set flour aside.
cook chops, set aside, keep warm.
pour off all but 1/4 c pan drippings.
add 1/4 c flour to pan and whisk with drippings.
3-4 min. med. high or until med. brown,
add 3 c water and whisk constantly until smooth.
reduce heat,med. low, add salt pepper
cook 1-2 min.
add water if needed
