Strawberry Shortcake Sundaes

A summertime family favorite! This Strawberry Sundae features layers of crushed cookies, ice cream, whipped cream and chopped strawberries. Recipe is easily adaptable to whatever ice cream or fruit you have on hand. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons sugar, divided
- 1 (5.3-ounce) package all butter shortbread cookies, coarsely crushed
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 pint strawberry ice cream
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 6 (8-ounce) wide mouth glass jars

Step 1
In medium bowl, beat cream, vanilla, and 1 tablespoon sugar at high speed until medium peaks form, 2 to 3 minutes.
Stir together crushed cookies, melted butter and remaining 1 tablespoon sugar in small bowl.
Spoon 2 tablespoons cookie mixture into each jar. Top with small scoop of strawberry ice cream, followed by small scoop of vanilla ice cream. Dollop with 2 tablespoons of whipped cream; top with about 1 tablespoon strawberries. Repeat layers, beginning with cookie mixture and ending with strawberries.
