Ingredients

  • 16 oz. silver (blanco), 100% agave tequila
  • 2 oz. dried Jamaica flowers (1 1/4 cups)
  • 5 oz. Grand Marnier
  • 4 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice (8 limes)
  • 2 oz. simple syrup
  • Ice (Optional)
  • Lime wedges for serving

Step 1

1. Place the tequila in a medium saucepan and warm over medium low heat until temperature reaches 160 degrees, about 6-8 minutes. Remove pan from heat, add the Jamaica flowers, cover, and steep fpr 15 minutes.

2. Strain the liquid through a fine mesh strainer and discard the solids.

3. Add the remaining measured ingredients and stir evenly to combine. Cover and refrigerate until chilled, about 1.5 hours.

4. Just before serving, stir to recombine. Serve margaritas with ice and lime wedge or shake with ice in a cocktail shaker.
