Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 t dried thyme
- 1/2 t paprika
- 1/4 t pepper
- 14 oz can beef broth, divided
- 1/3 cup all purpose flour
- 10 oz pkg frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
- 12 oz tube refrigerated biscuits
Preparation
Step 1
Brown beef in a large skillet over medium heat; drain. Add onion and seasonings; cook until meat is browned and onion is translucent. Combine 1/4 cup broth with flour; stir until smooth and set aside. Add remaining broth to meat mixture, stirring constantly until smooth; simmer for 5 minutes. Add vegetables; cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer to a lightly greased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish; top with biscuits. Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes, until biscuits are golden. Serves 4 to 6
