Mozzarella, Sausage and pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground mild italian pork sausage
  • 2 T butter
  • 3 T all purpose flour
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/2 t pepper
  • 2 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 12 oz pkg bowtie pasta, cooked

Preparation

Step 1

Brown sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain and set aside. Melt butter in skillet; stir in flour, salt and pepper. Gradually add milk; cook and stir until thickened. Remove from heat; add parmesan cheese and 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese. Stir until blended; mix in cooked pasta and sausage. Spoon into a greased 2 quart casserole dish and bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella; bake for an additional 5 minutes. Serves 6
