- 1/2 c. Italian dressing
- 2 T. brown sugar, packed
- 2 t. soy sauce
- 1/2 t. ginger
- 1 – 1 1/2 lb. flank steak, cut about 3/4-inch thick

For marinade, in a shallow baking dish combine Italian dressing, brown sugar, soy sauce, and ginger; set aside. Score both sides of meat at 1-inch intervals diagonally across steak in a diamond pattern. Place steak in dish, turning to coat. Marinate in refrigerator 3 – 24 hours, turning occasionally. Remove steak; reserve marinade. Grill steak, uncovered, over medium coals or broil 3 inches from heat for 12 – 14 minutes for medium doneness, turning once. Meanwhile, bring reserved marinade to a boil; pour over steak. Serves 6.
