med Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and cut into ½ slices
cup fresh whole cranberries
Juice from ½ a lemon
cup quick-cooking oatmeal
cup brown sugar
cup cold butter, cut into cubes
1) Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. 2) In a large bowl, toss together apple slices, cranberries, lemon juice and sugar. Pour into greased 8x8” baking dish. 3) Mix flour, oats, brown sugar, salt and spices in a lrg bowl. Blend in butter, using a pastry cutter or your fingers, until mixture resembles small peas. Sprinkle over apples. 4) Bake for 30 mins or until apples are bubbling and topping is brown and crisp. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
