Cheesy Sausage Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs mild pork sausage
  • 1/2 lb spicy pork sausage
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 4 cups crispy rice cereal, divided
  • 3 cups cooked white rice, divided
  • 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 2 cans cream of celery soup
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausages and onion together until browned; drain. Cover the bottom of a buttered 13 x 9 baking pan with 2 cups cereal. Sprinkle half the sausage mixture over the cereal. Layer half the rice and half the cheese over sausage. Mix soup, eggs and milk together; pour half of mixture over cheese. Repeat layers with remaining cereal, sausage mixture, rice, cheese and soup mixture. Bake, uncovered at 325 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden and bubbly. Let stand 10 minutes before serving
