Ingredients

  • 1 shallot
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 sprig rosemary
  • 1 sprig thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 t kosher salt
  • 1 t pepper
  • 3 T butter
  • 3 T flour
  • 4 cups chicken broth

Preparation

Step 1

1. Remove turkey from roasting pan and place on stove with drippings remaining on med-high heat.

2. Add shallot, garlic, rosemary, thyme, bay leaf, and salt and pepper to pan; cook until shallot is tender.

3. Add chicken broth and scrape pan for drippings; bring to a boil.

4. Thicken with butter/flour or cornstarch; boil until thick and add any additional seasoning to taste.
