Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 cup light molasses
- 2 tbsp. vinegar
- 5 cups flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Cream shortening and sugar
Dissolve baking sodain molasses. Add to creamed mixture. Add vinegar. Blend together flour, salt,ginger,cloves and nutmeg. Add to creamed mixture. Roll to 1/8 thick. Cut with cookie cutter. Place on greased baking sheet and bake 8-10 minutes.
