Ingredients
- 1 cup soft shortening
- 1 1/2 cups & 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 3/4 cups sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Step 1
Mix together shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar & eggs. Sift together flour, tartar, baking soda & salt, add to creamed mixture. Roll dough into balls the size of walnuts. Roll in mixture of cinnamon & remaining sugar. Place balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 8-10 minutes. Cool.
