Snickerdoodle Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup soft butter
  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 2-3/4 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 convection).

Mix butter, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs thoroughly in large bowl.

Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl. Blend dry ingredients into butter mixture.

Chill dough, and chill ungreased cookie sheets for about 10 to 15 minutes in the fridge.

Meanwhile, mix 3 tablespoons sugar and 3 teaspoons cinnamon in a small bowl. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into 1-inch balls and roll balls in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place balls 2 inches apart on cooking sheets.

Bake for 10 minutes. Remove cookies to wire racks and cool. Store in closed container.
