  • 1 lb. dry pinto beans
  • 4 Tbsp. Knorr brand tomato bouillon with chicken flavor
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic
  • 4 strips of bacon (bacon pieces in box works to)
  • 1/2 chopped onion
  • 1/2 chopped bell pepper
  • 1/2 chopped tomato (if small use the whole thing)



Step 1

Place beans in water overnight to soak, once plump rinse and boil beans till tender then set aside.

Get medium size stock pot (cast dutch oven if you got)
Cut bacon into pieces and fry until crisp. (do not drain grease)
Add onion and bell pepper to bacon cook till tender.
Add additional ingredients plus 2-3 cups of water and bring to a boil.
Once boiling rinse and add beans for 5-10 minutes to let the seasonings combine with the beans then remove from heat and serve.

Adjust water if this is not enough I have not bothered to measure.
