Ingredients

  • 1 can french onion soup
  • 1 1/2 lbs hamburger
  • 1/2 c dried bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1 Tbsp flour
  • 1/4 c ketchup
  • 1/4 c water
  • 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp mustard powder

Preparation

Step 1

In large mixing bowl combine 1/3 can of soup with beef, bread crumbs,egg,salt and pepper. Shape into oval patties and cook both sides till browned on medium to high heat, drain excess fat. In a small bowl combine rest of soup with flour and add ketchup, water,worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Pour over meat in skillet, cover and let simmer for 20 min. Add can of mushrooms if desired.
