Ingredients

    pkgs. yeast

  • 3

    T. sugar

  • 1 3/4

    C. warm water plus 1/8 C.

  • 3

    T. butter, softened

  • 1 3/4

    tsp. salt

  • 1

    egg, beaten

  • 5

    C. flour

Directions

Dissolve yeast in water with 1 T. of the sugar. When mixture is bubbly add remaining ingredients. (Dough will be quite sticky.) Cover tightly in Tupperware bowl and let rise 1 hour. Divide into 2 greased loaf pans and let rise 30 minutes. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
