Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 T. granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 t. vanilla
- 1/2 t. baking soda
- 1/2 t. baking powder
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 t. instant espresso powder, slightly crushed
- 8 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Beat butter with sugars until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
3. Combine baking soda, baking powder, salt, flour and espresso powder; beat into butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
4. Drop by large spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes (10 to 12 minutes for crispier cookies).
