Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 3 pints whole milk (lukewarm
  • 2 ts. salt
  • 1 cake yeast (compressed or granulated
  • 8 cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

soak yeast 10 minutes in 11/2 cups luke warm water. Add yeast to milk and beaten egg yolks. Add flour and beat until smooth. Let rise 1 to 11/2 hours. Beat egg white and fold in when ready to fry
Add raisins or prunes.

Fill special pan 1/2 full and fry. Roll in granulated sugar.
