Ingredients
- DOUGH
- 3-4 c flour
- 1 T yeast
- 1/2 1/2
- 4 c sugar
- 1 c + 2 T warm tap water
- 3/4 T salt
- 1 //4 c soft butter
- 1 egg
- CINNAMON FILLING
- 1/4 c melted butter
- 1 T cinnamon
- 1/2 c sugar
- ICING
- 1/4 c butter
- 1/2 lb powdered sugar (8 oz)
- 1 t vanilla
- 2 T milk
Preparation
Step 1
1-combine 1 c flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in bowl. stir well to blend
2-beat egg, add egg, butter and warm tap water to the dry ing.
3-beat with an electric mixer at med speed for 2 min. Scrape sides occasionally
4-Add 1 more c flour. Beat at high for 1 min til thick and elastic. Scrape sides of bowl
5-Continue adding remaining flour til dough starts to leave the sides of the bowl. Knead for 3-5 min.
6-Cover with a towel and let dough rest 15-20 min
7-Shape into cinnamon rolls roll dough out on floured surface in rectangle. 1/4" thick. spread 1/4 c of melted butter on, cover with the 1/4 c sugar mix, sprinkle with 1 T cinnamon. Roll dough very tightly. Cut 1" thick. Place on greased pan.
8-You may brush the surgace of the rolls with melted butter. cover with wax paper or plastic wrap. Place in fridge
DAY 2
Icing
1-Preheat oven 375. uncover rolls and let dough rest for 10 min
2-bake 15-20 min
3-make icing while rolls bake
4- Place all ing togehter in med bowl and beat til smooth and creamy
5- remove from pan and frost
