Homemade Whole Wheat Tortillas

A great recipe. These can be made right before having a Mexican meal...or while it's cooking! Atypical but delicious way of serving: Warm in microwave, brush with tiny bit of butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Tasty night-cap :)

Ingredients

  • 2

    cups whole wheat flour

  • 1

    tsp baking powder

  • 1/2

    tsp salt (?omit)

  • 2

    T olive oil

  • 1/2

c warm water (I’ve had to add more to bring dough together, still turned out fine)

Directions

1. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add olive oil and stir well until combined. Add water 1 T at a time until dough can be gathered into a ball. Add more water if needed 1 T at a time. 2. Knead on floured surface 15-20 times. Let dough rest for 15 minutes. 3. Divide dough into 10-12 equal portions and shape into balls. On floured surface roll out ball from center into a circle.
