Chocolate Chip Cookies #2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1-1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350º.

In large bowl, cream butter and sugars with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and, if desired, nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet.

Bake 9-10 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool on pan on wire rack 5 minutes; remove from cookie sheet and cool completely.
