Ingredients
- 4 cube steaks (about 1 lb total weight) 2 Shallots - finely chopped
- 1/3 cup White wine
- 1/2 cup Whipping cream or half & half
- 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
Preparation
Step 1
Sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper. In a lightly oiled large skillet over medium-high heat, add steaks in single layer an cook til browned, turning once, about 2-3 minutes per side. For a more tender steak, cook slower and longer. Remove from pan, cover with foil and set aside.
Add shallots to pan and saute until soft - about 1 minutes. Add wine and bring to a boil. Cook until slightly reduced. Stir in cream and mustard. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer until slightly thickened, about 1 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Divide steaks among plates, spoon sauce over and serve.
