Thai Style Tamarind Flank Steak

We learned this recipe in an asian cooking class, and it has become one of our favorites. We like serving it with asparagus as a side dish.

Ingredients
- 1/4 c fish sauce
- 2 T peanut oil
- 2 T soy sauce
- 2 T lime juice
- 2 T minced garlic
- 2 stalks lemongrass, finely minced
- 1/4 c cilantro, chopped
- 1 T ginger, finely chopped
- 2 T sugar
- 2 t sesame oil
- 1 can tamarind soda
- 1 flank steak (2-3 lbs) cut into small steak sizes

Step 1
Mix all ingredients together in large bowl. Put in flank steak. Marinade 2 hours or more (can do the night before for stronger marinade flavor). Cook flank steak on grill until desired temperature.
