BROWNIE EGGS

Ingredients

  • BROWNIES:
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • GLAZE:
  • 1 cup (6 oz.) chocolate candy melts
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream (not whipped)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Spray egg pan with vegetable spray. In medium mixing bowl, beat eggs, blend in sugar. Melt butter and chocolate in heavy saucepan over low heat. Stir, add to egg and sugar, blend, add remaining ingredients and stir (do not beat) until well mixed.

Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 7-10 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, do not overbake. Cool brownies 2-3 minutes on rack, loosen at edge and turn out on rack to cool. When cool, coat with glaze.

Heat cream on range top until bubbles break the surface, add candy melts. Let set 4-5- minutes, stir until smooth. Place eggs on rack and pour glaze over, touch up with spatula if necessary. Makes 24 eggs.
