Preparation
Step 1
Use one teaspoon of dry mustard for one teaspoon of turmeric.
Use one teaspoon of saffron for one teaspoon of turmeric.
Use two teaspoon dried marigold flowers ground for one teaspoon of turmeric
Use one teaspoon dried safflower flowers ground for one teaspoon of turmeric
Steep a teaspoon of annatto seeds in 1/4 cup of boiling water for 30 minutes or until the liquid is reduced to 1/4 its quantity. Discard the seeds and use the yellow liquid as a turmeric substitute.
