CREAMY HOLIDAY FUDGE ( Imogene Tite Nicholson )

Ingredients

  • 1 ) 3 cups (three 6 oz. packages) semisweet chocolate morsels
  • 2 ) 1 can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed milk
  • 3 ) dash salt
  • 4 ) 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 5 ) 1/2 cup pecans chopped, optional

Preparation

Step 1

In top of double boiler, melt chocolate over boiling water, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Stir in sweetened condensed milk, salt, vanilla, and nuts. Spread mixture evenly into wax-paper-lined 8 x 8 inch baking pan. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting board; peel off paper and cut fudge into squares. Tightly cover any leftovers. NOTE: Do not substitute evaporated milk for sweetened condensed milk in this recipe.
