  • 1 ) 3/4 cup shortening
  • 2 ) 3 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 ) 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 4 ) 2 eggs, beaten
  • 5 ) 4 cups flour, sifted
  • 6 ) 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 7 ) 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 ) 3/4 cup milk

Step 1

Cream shortening, vanilla and sugar together until light and fluffly. Continue creaming while adding well beaten eggs slowly. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Add milk alternating with dry ingredients. Drop small portions of mixture on greased baking sheet and bake at 400 for 12-15 minutes. Makes 72 cookies.
