CUSTARD PIE ( Theresa Tite)

Ingredients

  • 1 ) 4 eggs
  • 2 ) 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3 ) 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 4 ) 2 1/2 cups scalding milk
  • 5 ) 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 6 ) 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 7 ) 1 (9 inch) unbaked deep dish pie crust

Preparation

Step 1

Beat eggs until light and foamy. Add sugar and salt. Blend well. Add scalding milk and vanilla. Pour the custard into an unbaked 9 inch deep dish pie crust. Sprinkle nutmeg on top of custard. Place on middle rack and bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Then bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
