Mulled Cider

Ingredients

  • 8 cups unsweetened apple cider
  • 1/2 cup Splenda No Calorie Sweetener, Granulated
  • 16 whole cloves
  • 6 whole allspice
  • 5 (3-inch) cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened dried cranberries
  • 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 8 oranges, thinly sliced
  • 8 lemons, thinly sliced

Preparation

Step 1

Combine cider, Splenda, cloves, allspice, cinnamon sticks, cranberries and lemon juice in a medium pot. Heat over medium-low heat for 30-60 minutes. Do not boil.

Add orange and lemon slices 10 minutes before serving.

As a precaution, strain cider to remove solids before serving to children.

Serve warm.
