Ingredients
- Frosting:
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 stick of butter
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 6 tablespoons whole milk
- 1 box powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Sift together in a large bowl: sugar, flour, and salt.
In a sauce pan, bring to a boil, butter, oil, water, cocoa.
Pour over flour, sugar and salt while still hot.
Add buttermilk, baking soda, cinnamon, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well. Spread in a buttered sheet cake pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
*Frosting:*
Five minutes before cake is done put butter, cocoa, milk in sauce pan and bring to boil, remove from heat and add powdered sugar, and vanilla. Mix well and spread on cake while hot.
