Ingredients
- 3 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 c. lemon juice
- 1 pt. strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 L seltzer or sparkling water
Preparation
Step 1
In a 2-qt. saucepan, bring water and sugar to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice. Let cool completely. Place strawberries in blender with ½ c. lemonade mixture. Blend until pureed. Strain puree through a fine sieve to remove seeds. Add puree to remaining lemonade mixture; stir well to combine. Refrigerate until serving. To serve: Stir in seltzer. Pour over ice. Garnish with lemon and mint. Makes 10 cups. (140 cals per 8 oz. serving)
