Turtle Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box German choc. cake mix
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. evaporated milk
  • 14 oz. caramels
  • 1 c. chocolate chips
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Mix cake by directions on box. Pour 1/2 batter into 9 x 13 pan. Bake 15 min. While cake is baking, place caramels, milk, butter into saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. After cake bakes 15 min., pour caramel mixture over cake. Sprinkle w/ pecans & choc. chips. Pour remaining cake batter over the top. Bake 20 more minutes. Remove from oven. Cool & frost if desired.
