Peanut Blossoms

Ingredients

• 1 3/4 cup flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup peanut butter
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1 egg, unbeaten
• 2 tbs milk
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 pkg Hershey's Kisses

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together shortening and peanut butter. Gradually add sugar and brown sugar. Add egg, milk and vanilla. Then add the dry ingredients. Gradually shape by rounded tsp into balls. Roll in sugar on ungreased baking pan. Bake on 375° for 8 minutes. Remove from the oven and place chocolate kiss on top of each cookie. Return to oven for 2-3 minutes.
