Ingredients
- Makes 2 1/2 cups
- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- 3/4 cup blackberry syrup
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Step 1
In a medium saucepan, combine blackberries, syrup, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, for 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Serve warm with Blackberry Jam Cake.
