Overnight Layered Salad

I combined several different recipes to create my own.
It's a little labor intensive, but well worth it! Sometimes I double it!

Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces
  • 1/2 cup celery, diced
  • 1 8 ounce package frozen peas, thawed
  • 1 cup cauliflower, separated into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 bunch green onions, sliced (a bunch is 6 onions)
  • 1 1/2 cups Miracle Whip
  • 1/2 cup parmeson cheese
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup real bacon bits or finely crumbled bacon

Preparation

Step 1

Layer first five ingredients in a baking or casserole dish. Do not toss. Spread the Miracle Whip evenly over the top. Sprinkle the parmeson, then the cheddar over the Miracle Whip. Sprinkle the bacon over all. Gently smash the mixture down with your hand to remove air bubbles. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight.
