Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup minced onion
- 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs
- 2 large egg whites
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 (2.25 oz.) can Lindsay® Sliced Ripe Pitted Olives, drained
- 1/2 cup ketchup or barbecue sauce, divided
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 375°F. Combine meat, onion, bread crumbs, egg whites, garlic and pepper in a large bowl; mix well. Add olives and 1/4 cup of the ketchup; mix well. Transfer to a foil-lined shallow roasting pan or jellyroll pan and shape into an oval 9 x 5-inch loaf. Spread remaining 1/4 cup ketchup over loaf. Bake 50 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 155*F. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing (temperature will rise to 160*F.)
