Macaroni & Cheese - BEST RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz Elbow macaroni = 1/2 BOX
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 3/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 16 oz Sharp Cheese - shredded
  • 1 cup Cottage cheese
  • 1 Egg - slightly beaten - optional Salt, pepper and paprika
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons flour or corn starch
  • 1 shake Louisiana hot sauce - OPTIONAL

Preparation

Step 1

Cook macaroni and LET IT SIT UNTIL MOST OF THE WATER IS ABSORBED - probably 1 hour or so. It will be cool enough to touch with your finger.

Meanwhile, combine milk, cottage cheese, sour cream, egg, salt and pepper and corn starch. Add shredded cheese. Mix well. Mix all ingredients and turn into 9x12x2 baking dish or pan. Sprinkle with paprika and add extra cheese for topping, and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Will be soft and runny and get rave reviews.
