KENTUCKY BISCUITS ( Linda Tite)

Ingredients

  • 1 ) 2 cups self rising flour
  • 2 ) 1/2 cup crisco
  • 3 ) 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 ) 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 5 ) 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 6 ) 1 cup buttermilk or sour milk

Preparation

Step 1

Cut crisco into flour. Add salt, baking powder, and sugar. Add buttermilk and stir until just mixed. Pour on floured board and knead 4 times. Roll and cut 1/2 inch thick. Bake at 400-425 degrees until brown.
