Clean vegetables. Dice beets, carrots and potatoes. Put in pot with chopped green onion and water to cover. Add salt. Boil 30 minutes. ( If needed add 1 can of tomato soup.) Add 1/2 pint of whipping cream and peas. Fry onion in butter and add to soup. If you don't have enough beets you might have to add some tomato soup for flavor.
