Creamy Gourmet Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 1 large clove garlic, minced
  • 1 shallot, minced
  • 3 Tbs. melted butter
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups whipping cream
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 1/2 lbs. red potatoes, sliced 1/8" thick
  • 4 oz. Gruyere cheese
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Preparation

Step 1

Saute first 3 ingredients for 2 minutes. Add next 4 ingredients. Mix together. Add potatoes and bring to a boil over medium heat. Transfer to a 9 x 12 inch casserole dish. Add Gruyere cheese and top with Parmesan cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Let stand 20-30 minutes before serving.
