Baker's Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 6 squares Semi-sweet chocolate
  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cup water

Preparation

Step 1

Microwave chocolate and butter on high for 2 minutes. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir in sugar until well blended. On low speed, beat in eggs one at a time until completely mixed. Add vanilla. Stir in 1/2 cup flour, baking soda and salt. Beat in remaining flour alternatively with water until well blended and smooth. Pour in to 2 greased and floured 9 inch pans. Bake on 350° for 35 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes. Remove from pans.
