Caramel-Pecan Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix (for 13“ x 9“ pan)
  • 1 pkg. (9 oz.) Werther‘s Original Baking Caramels, unwrapped
  • 1 tbsp. milk or heavy cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups (6 oz.) chopped pecans, toasted

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray 13 x 9-inch pan with non-stick cooking spray. Prepare brownie mix according to instructions on box. Let cool 10 minutes.
2. Microwave caramels and milk in a microwave-safe bowl on HIGH for 2½ minutes or until melted, stirring after 1½ minutes. Stir in vanilla extract. Drizzle caramel mixture over baked brownies in zigzag pattern. Place pecans on top of brownies, pressing gently into caramel. Let cool and serve with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
