    box Duncan Hines Butter Recipe Golden Cake Mix

    stick butter, melted

  • 8

    oz. cream cheese, softened

  • 1

    tsp vanilla extract

  • 3

    cups confectioners sugar


Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease and flour a 9 x 13" baking pan. In large bowl of electric mixer beat two eggs on medium speed until well mixed. Add cake mix and butter and beat until smooth; batter will be stiff. Spread batter into prepared pan. In the same mixing bowl, beat two eggs on medium speed until well mixed. Beat in cream cheese and vanilla until blended. Gradually add three cups confectioners sugar, mixing well. Pour this thin mixture over batter in pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean, 40 to 50 minutes. While still warm, sprinkle top of cake with powdered sugar. Serve chilled, or let sit at room temperature or in refrigerator for about one hour before serving.
