- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 cups scalded milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/3 cup cold water
- 4 1/2 tbsp. corn starch
- 3 tbsp. cocoa
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 2 egg whites

Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 250.
2. Mix dry ingredients together. Add cold water and stir until smooth.
3. Add hit milk and cook over slow fire until thick, stirring constantly while cooking.
4. Add vanilla and butter and beat until smooth. Then cool. Place in baked shell.
5. Beat egg whites, add 1 tbsp. sugar, and spread over filling.
6. Brown in oven.
