appetizer or first course
- 1/2 cup finely chopped celery
- 1/3 cup finely chopped green pepper
- 1/2 cup sliced scallions
- 1/4 cup finely choped parsely
- 1 pound lump crabmeat
- 1 3/4 cups crushed soda crackers
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup melted butter
Preparation time 20mins
Cooking time 50mins
Oven to 350
combine celery, pepper scallions crab 1/2 cups of soday crackers salt mustar and a few drops of Tabasco. Add the cream and 1/2 cup of melted butter.
Mix together gently.
Spoon the mixture into a buttered 1/1/2 qt casserole and sprinkel the reaminning cracker crumbs. dRibble the reamining butter and bake for 30 minutes.
This serves well in individual ramekins of shell appetizer bowls/
