Ingredients
- 3 cloves of garlic, peeled
- 1/2 tsp coarse salt
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1 French baguette (8 oz), cut into 3/4 inch thick slices
- 4 vine ripe tomatoes, halved crosswise

Preparation
Step 1
Using a sharp knife, mince garlic; sprinkle with salt while mashing to make paste. In a small bowl, combine garlic paste with olive oil. Brush lightly over both sides of bread slices. Discard any remaining oil.
Working in batches, grill bread slices over medium-high heat until lightly toasted and grill marks appear, about 1-2 minutes per side. Remove from grill; immediately rub one side of each brad slice with cut edge of tomatoes, allowing bread to absorb tomato pulp.
Serve at room temperature, or warm briefly on grill before serving.
